Lisa Mercadante

Lisa Mercadante, a licensed PTA  with 30 years of experience, graduated from Harcum College and received an associate’s Physical Therapist Assistant Degree. Lisa attended West  Chester University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. While in college, Lisa was a member of the WCU Gymnastics program.  Being part of the Gymnastics program, Lisa gained an even greater appreciation for her lifetime pursuit of health and fitness. For the past two years, Lisa has been a dedicated employee at Movement Physiotherapy.

Lisa has treated patients in many situations, including Outpatient Chronic Pain Clinics, Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinics in Maryland, and local Physical Therapy Clinics. Lisa loves being a PTA because she becomes part of the patient’s rehabilitation and recovery process, and she gets to witness a level of determination and capability rarely seen in everyday life.

Lisa believes there is a substantial personal reward and comfort in knowing she has a role in overseeing the patient’s quality of life and function restored. “My main goal is to help my clients regain their independence.”

Lisa also enjoys spending quality time with her family.  She stays active by exercising and walking her dog, Tippy!
