Can I go to Physical Therapy anywhere I want to?

YES!!! As a patient you have the right to receive physical therapy at any place you choose.

At Movement Physiotherapy, You do not require a referral from your doctor to start Physical Therapy. If you are having any aches or pains, you can call to get your Physical Therapy started!

Can physical therapists properly diagnose the cause of pain?

According to research, the accuracy of clinical diagnosis by a physical therapist for musculoskeletal pain is higher compared to non-orthopedic healthcare providers, including family care, internal medicine and emergency room physicians.

Physical therapists are also trained to determine when an injury or condition may fall outside their scope of practice so that they can make a referral to a specialist when warranted.

Can Physical Therapy help fix my back pain?

One type of lower back pain, called lumbar spinal stenosis, is sometimes treated with surgery. But physical therapy works just as well, and comes with fewer unwanted complications — some of them life-threatening — than surgery, according to a study published in Annals of Internal Medicine.
